Overview

A short stage between the Prosecco Hills, a UNESCO site, and the Treviso plain: from Conegliano the route salutes the heroic vineyards, crosses the memory-laden Piave and descends along the Sile to the canals of Treviso.

Notes from the road

The route runs along the foot of the Prosecco Hills, with the steep vineyard slopes rising at the side of the road. The riding stays flat toward Treviso. The Piave flows heavy with history beneath the wheel. Treviso welcomes riders with its canals, a gentle point of arrival.

What to see

Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene (UNESCO), San Salvatore Castle in Susegana, Piave river, Treviso with Piazza dei Signori, the canals and the Isola della Pescheria

Where to sleep

Hotels and B&Bs in Treviso (70-110€); agriturismo between the Piave and the Sile (55-80€); hostels (40-60€)

Where to eat

Prosecco Superiore DOCG, Treviso IGP red radicchio (in winter), sopa coada, tiramisù in its home town

Tips

An easy stage (33 km): use it for a morning detour among the Valdobbiadene vineyards. The ride into Treviso follows the Sile's waters through quiet canals.

Water & supplies

Continuous water and services across the Treviso plain, with villages every few kilometres. No isolated sections; moderate traffic on the provincial roads, so mornings are best. Fountains in the centre of Treviso on arrival.
